What I don't understand is why Trump would have played up the whole Epstein thing to begin with. If there is evidence that he is a pedophile rapist, why would he have initially called for the release of the files? Was it purely to cater to his base, and he thought the whole thing would go away once he became president?
Cause he has pulled off the impossible so many times at this point the guy must feel invisible. Reminds me of the Bill Burr on Arnold Schwarzenegger bit

Run on Epstein while I am IN the files? Its a layup.

edit: god damn error correct on mobile is getting worse and worse

Oh he actually sued? lol

Either Rupert decides to pay to make him go away or he launches the nukes (makes Fox cover Epstein relentlessly).

It's a bit of a tangent, but those doodles - and the hint of a suppressed genuinely creative side - make me wonder anew as to how Trump got the way he is.
Some people are just natural born twats.

But he's lived a life of privilege where he's never had to take responsibility for any of his actions, he's never had to do a days real work in his life.
That combined with his character, which seems to be pretty unsavoury, ends up with someone who thinks they can do whatever they want, and whatever he wants isn't good stuff because he's not a good person.

I asked Chatgpt the following...

How is Fox News covering the Trump letter to Jeffery Epstein as reported by the WSJ?

On-air coverage

  • Laura Ingraham briefly teased the WSJ report during her show, promising “new news.” She then cut to commercial—and never returned to the storyFox News+6The Independent+6Yahoo+6.
  • After that, Fox hosts largely avoided discussing the letter itself. Their Epstein-related discussions focused instead on Trump’s directive to Attorney General Pam Bondi to unseal grand-jury testimony, not the WSJ’s explosive claimWikipedia+6The Independent+6Axios+6.

On their digital platform

  • Fox News digital has published only articles on Trump’s call for Bondi to release grand jury transcripts. None acknowledge or analyze the alleged letter from WSJFox News.
  • Similarly, their video segments discuss the legal logistics of unsealing the Epstein files, not the specifics of the bawdy birthday cardFox News+12Fox News+12theguardian.com+12.

And you wonder why Camp Trump all behave like brainwashed lemmings.

As if we didn't know Trump was going to sanitize the files.

FBI agents were told to ‘flag’ any Epstein records that mentioned Trump, Sen. Durbin says

"Durbin said his office had learned that after that, the FBI was pressured to put approximately 1,000 personnel in its Information Management Division … on 24-hour shifts to review approximately 100,000 Epstein-related records in order to produce more documents that could then be released on an arbitrarily short deadline.”

This effort, which reportedly took place from March 14 through the end of March, was haphazardly supplemented by hundreds of FBI New York Field Office personnel, many of whom lacked the expertise to identify statutorily-protected information regarding child victims and child witnesses or properly handle FOIA requests,” the letter said.

Looks like some of that fraud, abuse and waste they were supposed to eliminate, not add to.

His dad was Fred Trump. I'm not sure how much you know about Woody Guthrie, he's the one that wrote "This Land Is Your Land" (which, incidentally, tends to have a couple verses excluded in popular versions) and had "This Machine Kills Fascists" written on his guitar. Turns out he did a song about Fred Trump too.

sooooo uhhhh.... is this going to backfire?
“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval,”
or is nothing going to happen because "the courts blocked it"? or Bondi gets thrown under the bus? I can't imagine the MAGAs who voted trump in, in part to release these files, will be happy with anything other than a more-or-less completely unredacted file

So he knows the GJ stuff is clean for him. This is the first meaningful counter I've seen so far. It's on the fucking democrats and the left to keep the flame going.

NY Times coverage of the entire Epstein saga has been awful. They haven't broken any Epstein stories and have been much slower in their reporting than other outlets. Very disappointing.

He didn't get enough hugs from his parents.

It makes more sense once you realize Trump is borderline 80 IQ.

Their coverage in general has just been bad. Sulzberger really ruined the paper.

What I want to know...since this shit all occurred when he was a private citizen, is the DOJ paying the costs for him? Seems like Trump himself should have to pay his own legal costs.

More "flags" than the 4th of July!

Dear Leader better be careful, Ghislaine Maxwell might be first on the witness list. Unless she conveniently takes her own life just at the precise time the prison cameras reset for the day.

Trump has wins with these cowardly media companies/stations. Taking down Trump will be hard considering he has his own cult of followers who will believe him and not the WSJ. Plus, will Murdoch kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. He'll have WSJ fall on its own sword before sacrificing the Trump-Fox propaganda machine.

WSJ better have what they need to take down Trump.

Trump filed in Miami? He is judge shopping again!

It's also possible that there is no way he will follow through , it's all for show as usual .

Interesting anecdote at the end about a cult leader who had directed his disciples never to go to a hospital and he would heal them through godlike powers, then he gets very seriously injured and asks to be taken to a hospital, and the conflicting messages put them through a mental loop.

Look the sitting President exchanging love letters with the most infamous kiddie fucker in American history who died in federal custody under, at best, murky circumstances just isn't much of a story compared to John Podesta's recipe notes. Instead here are three Nazis one of whom beat up a cop on Jan 6 who later killed himself who think Democrats are out of touch as interviewed by Bari Weiss. Stay tuned for the Bret Stephens op ed on why Brown vs. Board of Education was too woke of a decision.

He didn't get enough hugs from his parents.

Guess that's facetious and it's an irrelevant side-issue of course, compared to the politics, but I do find myself thinking his dad has a lot to answer for.
(The fact that Trump's body language and gestures are clearly inspired by Liberace must mean something also - has any other President been so camp?)

Not facetious at all. If his need for approval isn't rooted in a lack of parental love and encouragement I'll eat my shorts.

February: we have all these files

July: comes out that DOJ had a thousand people pour through the files and flag stuff, but nothing of interest was ever found, now stop talking about it for reasons.

Must be pretty damning stuff.
