Jeep Hurricane...cool but utterly pointless

Powered by two 5.7-liter Hemi engines (yes two) one in the front and one in the back that deliver up to 670hp and 740 lb-ft of torque. The engines can be used together or independently and can deliver 4-, 8-, 12- or 16-cylinders worth of power with the Multi-Displacement System. This thing is the ultimate in 4x4 vehicles with 20 inches of suspension travel, 14.3 inches of ground clearance and the all four wheels can be turned to crab-crawl sideways without changing the direction the vehicle is pointed.

Looks like fun.

Kinda useless under "Normal" conditions, but it would be fun to off road with.

I'd say kinda useless under "almost any" conditions, but yeah, sounds fun 🙂

I could have used one this weekend. Snowed like a mutha here, and then it was windy as hell. 2' snow drifts everywhere.

The sad thing is they will morph this concept into a mini sport utility vehicle with a 4 cylinder engine, a cargo rack, and some nice cupholders......plus it will be useless offroad.

Lol the way they have those wheels oriented at 45 degrees makes it look like it's about to spin around and around like a hurricane.

Agreed. But if Jeep had any testicular fortitude (which they don't) they'd release the suspension and turning hardware as an aftermarket (Or maybe option) package for the Wrangler. They'd make BAJILLIONS.

If Jeep (Chrysler) would have any testicular fortitude AND common sense they would've never killed the inline 6 cylinder engine, the most loved Jeep engine, but alas...
