Jeep Cherokee - Rear Bumper

All,

I was recently bumped/rear ended and it destroyed my bumper, two bumper end caps and the two bumper brackets on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The guy wanted to handle it outside of insurance. I got a few quotes in the $630 range and the guy sent me a check for $630.

I'd like to take the money and do it myself and get the parts much cheaper than these collision centers charge for them. Where is a good place I can get the following for my Jeep Cherokee:

* Rear Bumper
* RT Bumper Mount Bracket
* LT Bumper Mount Bracket
* RT End cap flat black
* LT End cap flat black
* Shield (not sure what this is but it was on two of the estimates)

i would check out a junk yard, then you can just get it repainted the correct color before you install it. if it is just the black plastic you will not even have to paint them.

I agree, a junkyard or craigslist is your best bet for getting them cheap. Is the damage only to the bumper mounts or did they bend up where they mount to?
 
If you can just bend it back you are golden. Cherokee bumpers are dirt cheap. Find one on ebay for $40 and call it good. Or go to a junkyard and get all the parts you need.
 
check w a local jeep club, someone who has upgraded theirs will usually let the stock one go for a case of beer or something.
