i just got a new dev box P-4 2.2 GHz with 512MB of RDRAM and a 80 GIG hard drive with a 21" flat screen 🙂 i have to maximize its potential!
 
Use the EMP weapons. You've got two of them. One is the cone-shaped EMP rifle, the other is the Repeater's alt-fire. When those shields come down, bring up the saber and go to town. 🙂

Either that or you can type "drive_atst" (not sure if ATST has to be uppercase or not) and step on him in the ATST Walker 😀

no, there is no business justification for that, i have a geforce 2 gts in it, so its decent.
 
Yes, the cheat goes into the console. And, besides... there's a level just before you get into the Jedi Academy near the end where you get to drive one anyway. 🙂 The opening movie sequence has the camara move over to an opened ATST next to a rock. Get on top, look down, and hit the use key. They can shoot rock-bridges out of the way, kick over ARMIES of stormies 🙂D) and even step on the shadowtrooper when you come up on him. Easy win. 🙂 They strafe fairly quickly, too. They have a primary and alternate fire (rates of fire), but you can't fire any of the grenades, rockets, or different blaster fire that the other ones have.

Oh well. Who cares? Walking around in one of those is sooo cool. And, in that level, if the hull damage gets to be too much, you can always get out of that one and get back into another one half-way through the level that's open as well. You can go almost the whole level through in it. The only thing is that you have to get out to climb up the broken rock and through the cave at the end.

Yes you can, you just scroll to those weapons with the mouse wheel/next weapon key. I prefer the side cannons, actually, the rockets are very nice for the merr-sonn toting troopers and the stationary guns.

Use the concussion gernade mode of the repeater (secondary fire) to drop his shields, than when they go down, use the primary fire and fire at the red thing over his head. That will knock down his sheilds permanently.

He reminded me a lot of the last boss from RTCW, especially with his mele attack.
 
I found the easiest way to beat him was to run away and fire the Unreal Tournament-like Flak Cannon's Alt fire... just hold it down while backing away... then when he sheild goes down, Force Speed and pull out the repeater... AIM FOR THE Y SHAPED THING ON HIS BACK. once you take that out... just force speed more, and carve him with your saber.
 
thanks guys i beat him before i went to work, i just used force speed and heavy stance to get rid of the shield genreator.
