Jedi Knight 2 - benchmarking fps limit problem :(

Having a problem when benchmark JK2 in the MP exe.

Dispite setting Vsync to off in Riva tuner, and in the game itself, I always end up with just under 70fps.

I've tried setting the draw_fps to 300 to, and it makes no difference.

Can anyone help me?
Could I be benching wrong? Here is what I do:

devmap ffa_bespin
timedemo 1
disconnect
demo jk2ffa

What is the refresh rate on your monitor set to? You aren't going to get more FPS than your monitor is displaying.

I'm on 60Hz (I'm using an 18" Samsung 181T LCD).

I'm sure you can get more than 60fps with Vsync off.. I bench around 90fps in RTCW at 1280x1024.

Hmm, it sounds like you're CPU/platform limited caused by some kind of configuration problem. How are your other games in terms of speed?

Do you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system?

Hmm...mine always hits the limit at 90FPS...and then it looks like that's as high as it will read, as the numbers kind of flicker...maybe it's a limitation in the game.
