Not sure on his opponent but it's crazy to think that Randy Couture is 47 and still quite competitive in the UFC. So I dunno, he could do alright?

One difference. Van Damme has for the last 25 lives a life of luxury and does not have the mind of the fighter.

Those UFC fighters, mentally, are animals. They live to fight. They don't feel pain.

The last Universal Soldier movie was actually pretty decent. Not fantastic by any means, but pretty decent. Maybe just because Dolph was in it too. Talk about an old man fight.

I think you meant the Chuck Norris of the 80s. Except no one made awful jokes that weren't funny and repeated ad nauseam about Van Damme.

I saw the JCVD movie a while back, didn't think it was very good. I didn't understand why he ended up going to jail for 2 years or whatever at the end.

It's not a "fighter" movie, he plays "himself" as a broke out of work actor who gets caught in a bank robbery and the bank robber tries to make it look like he is the guy robbing the bank.

It's best known for a monologue he does in the middle of the middle addressing the audienece:

He looks like 70+ in that video :/

Still wouldn't want to get into a fight with him, but especially the idea of the winner of this match challenging the current champion makes it not a good idea for him... Even if he'd win this match he'll get his ass kicked.

I think they're going to make yet another one, of course probably going straight to DVD. They're milking that series for everything it's got.
