Several of my mates have recently admitted what i thought all along, JD doesn't taste that great, & most people drink it in their younger years at least because it's 'cool'...

JD is good for Bourbon & Diet Coke and that's it. Give me Irish Whisky for straight drinking.

But I mean, so does every other hard alcohol.

Give me a nice rum, scotch or cognac; on the rocks, with a bit of water or straight up respectively.
 
JD is good because it gets you tipsy pretty quickly and it tastes better than most other options of the same alchohol content.

I kinda like how it warms you up.
