Maybe you'd be happier if you got plowed by a bus?
I've been doing it every day for the past 3 months. The parking lot at work is under construction so there's no where to park. About 100+ people do it everyday, twice.

You're in surprisingly good shape for having gotten plowed by a bus every day for the past 3 months. 😛

yeah I just pulled that out of my ass, but hey, since you can't take the 5 seconds to search google, neither will I.
I tried, nothing. if you find it tell me your secret.

Guess you'll just have to wait for your ticket to come in the mail haha.

By bus he probably means Bubba.

Yep, I too am surprised that he's in good condition.

As far as I know, cops have to give out a certain amount of tickets. You did something illegal, he did his job, and now you're paying the price. Next time think twice before running through trafic.

Officially, there is no such thing as a ticket quota.

That is incorrect.
but tell me there isn't some pressure on police officers to bring in revenue...... if you don't write any tickets all month does anyone give you a hard time?

If you didn't write any tickets all month you'd have to be on vacation or in a coma. If you don't write a ticket during a shift you'll probably get ribbed.

Something like "oh, were you here tonight?" is a common one for someone that didn't do much. 😀

What if you dont have ID with you?

What happens then?

Around here, the cops will arrest you if you don't have ID. I'm not sure about other places.

They dont really arrest you, they might take you into custody though.

OK, so its an issue of semantics. In any case, if you get picked up on Friday, you'll likely get handcuffed and end up sitting in Baltimore City's central booking until Monday. And that place is a real sh1thole.

If you're booked, you're arrested.

I was told that in Central Ohio (not applicable to you, I'm sure) that if you don't have an ID on you, the officer will look it up if you tell him your ID# or SS#. Not sure what would happen if you didn't know either of those...

OP, where exactly in Santa Clara county did this happen? 🙂
cupertino

Wow, really?
I thought you'd say downtown SJ or smth. Maybe around SJ State, but in Cupertino? WTF

Places with lower crime rates = police with less things to do = more petty tickets
