Maybe you'd be happier if you got plowed by a bus?
I've been doing it every day for the past 3 months. The parking lot at work is under construction so there's no where to park. About 100+ people do it everyday, twice.
So that makes it OK?

MIC and Loud Party. 😀

I forgot where you are an officer 😛 When we show up at parties, we just join in. Jk, we tell them to turn their music off and stop cheating on their deployed husbands. One more trip to this house and you'll be kicked off post. They usually listen.

I do Party Patrol fairly often. It's a plainclothes detail and we usually write a ton of citations. About a month or so ago we wrote 107 citations at 2 parties over our 5-hour shift. We had the local news riding with us that night too. 😀

No, but I've only been here for 3 months. people have been do it everyday for the past 10 months and there hasn't been an accident.

Yeah, remembering the code is a big deal.

Just because he's 25 doesn't mean he's a rookie. When I'm 25 I'll have 5 years of experience.
Dude, remembering the code isn't a big deal. But my question was 'you don't give out jaywalking tickets a lot do you?'. If he did, he would remember the code just like you remember the code for speeding.

edit: (you not referring to you, but referring to chp in general 😱)

Oh... So that makes it OK?

P.S., there pretty much isn't a good answer to that questions. 😉

Oh yeah, since the division is gone right now its terrible. If you go to the "clubs" around here you'll notice a whole lot more women then men.

well one person got one in downtown LA and i think they said their ticket was 300 bucks. i don't know what they did to get it up that high.

What if you dont have ID with you?

What happens then?

Around here, the cops will arrest you if you don't have ID. I'm not sure about other places.

They dont really arrest you, they might take you into custody though.

i lived in a college town. So we had a bunch of college kids that would walk downtown (to all the bars!) and jaywalk all the time. they wouldnt look and just walk out in the road expecting you to stop. finally the city started ticketing people for it. it worked for a while.

It's like $250-$300 for a jaywalking ticket in Santa Clara area.

yeah I just pulled that out of my ass, but hey, since you can't take the 5 seconds to search google, neither will I.
