You read too much in the media. They said Master P was worth like 300m 10 years ago and he had his house foreclosed and all kinds of stuff just a year or two later.

Jay Z is NOT worth that much, neither is Beyonce.

Otherwise they'd be spending that money. I never hear of Jay Z buying nice houses or anything.
Last I heard he's renting at one of Don Trump's buildings. Renting. He doesn't even own a place.

And this is why he IS worth that much. He's a business man first, rapper second.

Oh yeah? Well I know a guy who's friend's uncle's sister's garbage man's dad has a 10,000 rwhp Supra that would spank that car.

LOL so much hate. if they had 120 mil of taxable income imagine how much they really made.

from wiki:
Jay-Z serves as co-brand director for Budweiser Select and collaborates with the company on strategic marketing programs and creative ad development. He provides direction on brand programs and ads that appear on TV, radio, print, and high-profile events.

yeah, now lets look at other ventures of master p:
As founder and CEO of No Limit Entertainment, Miller at one time presided over a business empire that included No Limit Records, Bout It Inc., No Limit Clothing, No Limit Films, No Limit Sports Management, P. M. Properties and Advantage Travel. Miller ranked 10th on Forbes magazine's 1998 list of America's 40 highest paid entertainers with an estimated income of $56.5 million.[2] Miller represented Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams when he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints. Williams' rookie deal [3] has been used in law schools and business schools as a model for bad contracts.[citation needed] Miller is no longer a sports agent.

yeah....estimate income 56 mil for a year, while jayz sold a business for 200mil and went platinum.....

Well post some links, let's see it.

What's he got? Like a Maybach and a few late model Ferraris? And that makes it one the "most extensive"?

I have a neighbor (guys who lives in the neighborhood across the street from me) who has 18 Ferraris in his basement, including an Enzo, F50, F40, 288 GTO, 521ibb, and allegedly (I cannot confirm this) a 250 GTO or some related racing version of it. But the first 5 listed are verified and I've seen pics.

Can Jay Z outdo my neighbor? Or is this just the media hyping up another rapper?

Don't you live in Florida? I didn't think they built basements in the swamp down there. I've never seen a house with a basement there.

Who cares about your neighbor. He's not even part of your extended family. If you want to do the e-peen thing, I have relatives who's richer than Jay-Z, Beyonce, and your neighbor put together. They don't have extensive car collection but they do have homes all over the world and fly everywhere in their private jet. :hmm:

Ok...besides the fact that it's the fastest car in the world and worth 2m...the car looks like shit, I would honestly drive an m3 any day over this it if the M3 was worth 2m.

"Some say Jay-Z’s net worth closer to $500 million but when you account for all the many sources of income he has it’s hard not to reasonably bump that figure closer to a solid $1 billion. Here are the facts:

I'm not saying the guy doesn't have any money, I'm just saying, most athletes and musicians have their net worths inflated by the media.

Clothing: Jay sold Rocaware clothing, which he co-founded, for $204 million back in 2007. If Rocaware met certain performance milestones he could pull down an additional $35 million in Iconix (the buyer) stock.

He was only a partial owner of Rocaware with Damon Dash and I would almot guarentee they had a ton of investors to help their finance it. I bet after it's all said and done he maybe owned 10 to 20 percent. Even Mark Zuckerburg owns like what? Like 20% of Facebook, maybe less.

Records: Every single album he’s ever released (over 15) have gone platinum.
Endorsements: Chevy, Budweiser, Armadale Vodka, Hewlett Packard

Depends on what his contracts looked like and how much it costs him to create an album. Michael Jackson's 2001 album sold 2 million copies in the US but was a failure because of the huge amount it cost to make the album and all the videos.

Concerts: His recent deal with Live Nation is reportedly worth $150 million

If I remember correctly, this was over a long period of time, like 10 years and take out money for laywers, accountants, agents, and taxes and he will see less than half of that. Plus expenses of a celebrity, security, press people, marketing, and his posse.

Miscellaneous: Jay’s ownership stake in the New Jersey Nets, Arsenal Football Club, 40/40 nighclubs, Def Jam Records"

He owns a sliver of ownership in those clubs. They let him in to make the team sell more jerseys and it gives him street cred.

He's got 99 problems but a clutch ain't one.

I've read this about 5 times in the last couple of days (every time I enter this abortion of a thread), and it still makes me laugh every time.

Are they looking to adopt?

Meanwhile you're still a wannabe, so JayZ wins.

I can honestly say you don't have a fucking clue as to what you're talking about. Jay-Z is a very smart businessman and a frugal bastard. He spends other people's money. The guy is smart and shrewd.

LOL still at it eh

master p is a failed businessman, JayZ is not. No is talking about 10 years ago when JayZ was new and MasterP was well established.

Now Jay Z could buy MasterP about one trillion times over...

master p is a failed businessman, JayZ is not.

You wouldn't have said that 10 years ago. You cannot say that about Jay Z, you have to give it time.

How do you know 10 years from now someone else won't be having this discussion about how Jay Z is broke and some new rapper supposedly has hundreds of millions?

False argument, but nice try.

jayz has been around longer already, has profitable businesses, master p had a shitty label, and was the worst sports agent ever.

sure its possible that he ends up like master p, but the magic 8 ball says its not likely.

we get it, you hate him. maybe you hate his music or something. no one cares, dude has money.
