Not a bad price for the ride

I'm wondering how much some of those extra features (Nav, Push start, etc.) will add or if they come as default? I could see the latter (push start) being default, but nav will probably be a $1-2k extra depending on whether the screen is a default part of the "interior."

Resists urge to photoshop denim on the corvette and red over leno's shirt and round tail lights.

i've seriously been meaning to write ed welburn a letter telling him how awesome he is. i love that guy.

maybe i'll do that tomorrow :hmm:

He's one of the few stars at GM right now. Wonder what he could have done with a more progressive auto company.

I'm not entirely sold on the rear (I think GM tends to not think the rear all the way through on cars) but overall I like the C7 design. It's edgy, and I like that. Too bad any Corvette is far out of my price range :p

Yep, who the hell cares? I'm sure he's terribly worried about the opinions of kids on the interweb.

Yeah, when Leno was 30 I was 13 years old.

Extreme jealousy, more likely.

Yep, I'm jealous. I own a Ducati, I live in SoCal, have a good job, house, wife, family, and I've driven plenty of pretty cool cars and bikes. Granted, I don't have my own talk show or 150+ cars but I'm not 62 years old and wearing nothing but blue jeans and denim shirts yet either. :p

I think there are already kits being developed to bring back the old round taillights.

Just think of it this way... how awesome would it be to never have to worry about choosing an outfit (that sounds rather girly to say...) in the morning. All denim shirts and jeans makes the choice reaaaaaaaaal simple. :p

A little news flash for you, you are a nobody. Leno can buy and sell you all day long. He also doesn't give a crap about what some nobody like you thinks of his shirts. And are you seriously boasting about owning a Ducati? Seriously? Another reality check for you, it's a Ducati not a Ferrari. It's not a big deal.

I'm not big Leno fan, but criticizing his shirt when the focus SHOULD be on the car is just about stupid.

Yep, I'm a nobody and he could buy and sell me all day long. I love how this place just gloms onto one simple observation and makes it their talking point of the thread.

I just have one question, why do YOU care what I think about his shirts? :whiste:

If Jules wants to make fun of Leno, let him.
I'm sure if Leno knew Jules he could find something to make fun of, too.

For all we know they are secretly best friends and make fun of each other under pseudonyms on the internet. :D

From one nobody to another, I think it's a dumb comment. It's like me pointing out one of the guys on Top Gear is wearing the same sneakers every episode. And even worse, it bothers me.

That would be much less obvious. This is a look he's been sporting for decades... and it's really obvious. Articles have been written about it.

Apparently I am a polarizing figure here... go figure.

And, FTR, I don't care if it bothers you. :p

Your comments in this thread about Jay Leno's clothing:

Jay looks like a fucking tool. Lose the denim shirt dude.
Yeah... not a good look
If it was just once I wouldn't care but he ALWAYS dresses like that.
Like I said, it wouldn't bother me if he wore a denim shirt once in a while but every single video seems like he wears the same stupid blue denim shirts in them. He must have closets full of them.
Hello doofus.
At least Bob Vila doesn't wear the exact same shirt all the time.

I don't know, it just bugs me. Deal with it.

Your comments in this thread about the Corvette, in the Garage Talk forum:

Corvette looks hot...

[the interior] looks a lot better

I figured the garage was not worth the waste of time going purely off thread titles lately. The content of this thread 100% guarantees it.

Let's hijack this thread man!

Hey I think $50,575 is a good price for what you get!

Although now that I think about it the price seems a little high since the mandatory cost of changing out those god awful tail lights with aftermarket round ones should be considered in it's cost of ownership and WHY IS JAY LENO STILL WEARING THAT GOD AWFUL DENIM!!!! FFS!

Sorry man I tried, I can't I just can't I can't I I I , I don't know what came over me. It's the god damned petroleum fumes! brain damage dammit Someone run me over with a fagmaro and put me out of my misery.

And that Mrs. Linginfelter is my summary of AT garagequeens...

Jay's got a great collection. Hopefully he decides to turn it into a proper museum some day if he hasn't already. I still prefer the classic Covettes (50s and 60s) over the new ones.

As per Jay's clothes, Steve Jobs wore the same black turtle neck and jeans every time he was in public. He could buy and sell Jay Leno, who can buy and sell all y'all. Maybe there's something to having a signature outfit.

Agreed. I think the 1960s is my favorite era for Corvettes.

The red Vette in the denim shirt video looks really good too. Love that color and the car just seems to look better and better to me every time I see it. I'm looking forward to a Top Gear review of it.

I was lucky enough to be given a private showing of a car collection in Los Angeles a few years ago. This guy used to own Oldsmobile dealerships and is a big Corvette guy. He has an example of every Corvette made from the first model year to 1971 and he just let us roam around taking pictures and checking out his private collection. It was really cool.

I think there are already kits being developed to bring back the old round taillights.

The one I've seen totally removes the vents however. Those vents are there for a purpose, covering them isn't such a good idea.
