Ok, things seem to be going from bad to worse with my IE and I need help.
Essentially, I can't get many sites to load properly. The Microsoft update site won't load at all in IE, and several other sites don't load properly either. I have downloaded the latest Java runtime environment so everything seems to be in order, but I can't get certain sites to load at all, and others give me a "javascript disabled" type message.
An example is accurint.com. It loads perfectly in Opera, giving me the "account login" button on the left...but this button doesn't show up at all in IE. I've been told this could be an active X problem...so I went through my internet options and basically enabled every script/activex to run everywhere on low security settings, and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas? Is there any way to uninstall internet explorer and put the latest freshest version on my system with all the necessary plugins?
