I don't know why, but I cannot get the JAVA Virtual Machine to install on my PC. When I click the download now, IE errors out and nothing happens (I couldn't even do the manual download). I have Norton running as well, so I thought that was the problem, I disabled it and it didn't help. Next I downloaded the install from another computer, burnt it on a cd and tried to install it on the original computer. When it installed, it errored out again. Anyone have any advice for this fix? Thanks.
 
For IE I get the regular 401 error. For the manual install, I can't quite remember, it just said it coulndn't continue the installation.
 
The regular 401 error? You are downloading this from http://www.java.com, right?

Reboot first then try again. A failed installation can sometimes cause subsequent attempts to fail if you don't reboot first.
