Hello, correct me if I'm wrong but Java used to be available if Windows XP SP1 was installed but it doesn't seem to add it anymore so did they remove it? Also, in the mean time, I installed Sun Java 1.4.0 and I was wondering if there is a way to remove it from the system tray. It used to be in the options for older versions but i cannot find it anymore. Does anyone know of a way to change it through a setting im not seeing or possibly the registry? Thanks in advance

The reason you don't see it is because of the problem that MS and Sun had so MS stopped supporting the JVM
and now you don't see it included with newer WinXP cds. MS is going to continue supporting JVM until Sept 04 though
and it should be found on their site somewhere again. If you are still looking for it, I can direct you to a site to get it.

I can't remember if the Sun Java has an option in the plugin, but go to the control panel and find the Java plugin and
check some of the settings to see if it will remove it from the tray for you.
