java options for Firefox??

I'm trying to RMA my AMD processor and the java script is just not working with Firefox, or IE for that matter, menus don't show up, (i have all blocking disabled), buttons do nothing...so what should I download to get java and javascripting to work in FF??? anyone got a link?
