Java library ideas

I've been trying to think of some ideas for a Java library, but haven't really come up with anything intriguing or worth my time to do. I'm looking to do this mostly for experience, but it'd also be nice to code a library that other developers would find useful. It would also be nice if I could develop an application using the library.

If you can't think of a good idea yourself, get involved in the open source community and chip in on something you find interesting. Here are a couple links to get you started. There are endless open source and java community projects out there you can get involved in. Certainly you should be able to find something to pique your interest at one of these:
