Java applet not loading?

Trying to play some yahoo games but the java applet isn't loading, I just get a red X like an image that won't load. All my internet settings are defaulted, any idea what's up?

Tried installing the Sun Java Runtime Environment? Sometimes the default Windows one has problems that make you go through hell (and usually reinstallation) just to figure out. Trust me, I've been there.

Red X is usually ActiveX. You sure Java is not loading? Set the security settings in IE to default (Internet Options | Security).

I don't know, it says it uses a Java applet. And I set security levels to default and that didn't help. What is the Sun Runtime thing?

Sun Runtime icon in the system tray indicates that Java has been loaded.
It allows you to debug java applets and view settings.
