Here are the details of each position.


Job Title: Senior JAVA Developer
Job Location: Northern Virginia
Number of Openings: 2
Job Description: You will be responsible for building and maintaining mission-critical, web-based applications for a Government customer. You will use Java and XML in a J2EE architecture. You will be responsible for developing application infrastructure at the application server, security, and messaging level. You will be expected to make use of design patterns and use and create web frameworks. You will be responsible for developing and/or integrating advanced search tools and frameworks. You will be required to support quick-turnaround efforts and work well in a fast-paced development environment.
Required Qualifications:
* At least 4 years Java experience.
* At least 2 years J2EE experience with a major application server product (ex: BEA Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, IBM Websphere, Jboss)
* Hands-on experience using design patterns.
* Must be able to attain and maintain a high level government security clearance

ugh man ... I am in the DC Metro area currently looking for a new job somewhat, and I really think my best bet (by looking at that salary) would be to get a job that will sponsor a clearance for me heh.

but I only have like 2 years experience for now.

from my current search thoug, it looks like a clearance will really boost your $$.

good luck,
i know someone who was working within LMT for about 10 months before actually being cleared to start real projects.

Naive question: how do you guys get active sec clearance or top security clearance? why pay scales are so high?

must be sponsored by govt or defense contractor to work on a cleared project / contract

Probably jobs to put the government in security compliance because of the recent publicity from security hacks. Meh...

And how many design patterns in Java are we talking about here?
