IIRC it takes two positive tests to be issued a punishment. So I'm guessing a confession would only count as one.

A confession doesnt count as anything in baseball rules. Those statements were supposed to be kept private.

If Bonds is found to have taken steroids (come on, his freaking HEAD grew 2 helmet sizes in the past 3 years according to an ESPN report) his record season should be removed from the books. Hell, McGuire admitted to taking "supplements" as well, take him out too. That leaves Sammy Sosa with 67 I believe? Corked bat? Gone from the books. Oh looky there, Maris back on top again...like it should be.

McGuire never hid his supplements, and it was well within the rules of baseball. Unlike 'roids or cork. He should stay.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - like he's never juiced...Originally posted by: BunLengthHotDogThat leaves Sammy Sosa with 67 I believe?

A record that has stood for decades broken by 3 guys in a matter of ... what... a handful of years ? Take all 3 of them off fo' sure. Not that I'm into nostalgia or anything but everytime that record gets mentioned now, it's a huge travesty. I don't know how true baseball fans can still go about their day as if nothing fuct up ever happened.Originally posted by: Chadder007

MF Werd.
Everyone, can I have your attention, please?
I'm afraid I have to give back my MVP. The truth is, I haven't been playing fair either. I've been using st-steroids. I was willing to do anything to be the best, and the steroids made me blind to the people I was hurting. A good friend even tried to talk me out of it, and I wouldn't listen to him. Taking steroids is just like pretending to be handicapped at the Special Olympics. Because you're taking all the fairness out of the game.
But I know now that even if you do win on steroids, you're really not a winner. You're just a p-pussy. You're just a big fat p-p...p...pussy, and if you take steroids, the only decent thing to do is come forward and say, "Remove me from the record books, because I am a big, stinky p-pussy-steroid-taking jackass."
That's how I feel about myself, and why I must decline this MVP and my place in the history books. And if you'll let me, I'll be back next year. To compete with honor...
