Leaving on the 22nd. What do you guys suggest to buy while in Japan? I'm thinking of an SLR camera and a couple of lenses with it.

Uh... no. Everything is far more expensive in Japan, especially electronics. The only reason to buy any electronics in Japan is to get the ones that arn't released in the States or to get them before they release in the states.
