What's with this ad campaign to save this woman's comatose career? She is on the cover of TVGuide this week and has been doing the talk show circuit this week as well. The best has to be the paid MTV special "Icon:Janet Jackson." What a riot.

Who the hell is she? I mean, she was cute back in the "Rhythm Nation" days. Now she looks like she fell off the ugly tree, hitting every branch on the way down. Her new single is some lame attempt to "shock" (she sings about a guys "package&quot😉. Lame, lame, lame.

Go join your freak-ass brother on the pedo-pharm Janet. Your 15 minutes are up.
 
I saw here Velvet Rope tour and I still think most of her music is good. This last attempt though has not hit me as well.....
 
yep haven't see her in ages then outta no where there she goes.not too pleasing to the eye and was her songs ever really that great?
 
Did anyone see her on letterman last night? She looks like a cross between michael jackson and dianna ross, with a little farah fawcett weirdness all wrapped up into one nasty package. 😉
 
Just out of curiousity, how are all of you doing on your 15 minutes of fame? Also, once again, I would be curious to see if your reactions would be the same about her looks if she was hitting on you in a bar.

As far as my 15 minutes of fame, I have no desire to be a mindless pop star or even be publicly known.

My #1 problem with her is that she is 100% manufactured by her record label. I think it's pretty sad how they are trying to push her with the paid MTV special.

That doesn't make sense, So anybody or thing that succeeds becuase of publicity is wrong? That would be like expecting to get dates by staying in your bedroom, or to get a job by staying in the house. Publicity is how everything works. All the publicity in the world is not going to sell a bad product.....just look at the xfl 🙂

But damn, at least I happen to think their music is pretty good. Not to mention their dancing abilities. Can you guys sing or dance like that? I think not. MJ has got to be one of the most well known poppers out there...

You guys might not like them but you gotta respect their entertainment abilities. Hell I definitely don't approve of MJ's extracurricular activities...

btw, no, she really doesn't sing well at all. Lots of high-tech filtering and tweaking going into them cd tracks.

I think the music industry ruins people.... they all seem to become freaks eventually. Janet started off cool and cute and look what they turned her into. Same with Michael, he was much cuter before puberty 😉
 
I think just because you don't like her doesn't mean she should be put down. I may not like her very much, but you don't set fire to every Janet album at your local music store, do you? Just think about acting the same way you would offline, and you may post things differently...or not...
