I'm under 30 and I know nothing about Jane's Addiction except that they suck. Local rock station's been playing their song Just Because 2-3 times a day and its horrible.

Have you given any of the older stuff a chance, or just dismissing them based on the one song?

It would be a shame to have only heard, say "Take it Back," and decided that Pink Floyd sucks, now wouldn't it?

I absolutely love old Jane's Addiction. Definitely one of the most underrated bands ever. And I was really surprised by the song Just Because, it sounds so much like they're old stuff, and yet it doesn't sound dated at all. Maybe it's because their old music isn't part of a genre or fad, either. I hope the rest of the album is just as good, I'm gonna give the sound clips a few listens.

Oh, and Porno for Pyros was awesome, as well. At the beginning of the Internet as we know it, I had the most popular P4P site on the web. :D Over 80,000 hits, but then my hosting went down, and P4P broke up, and I stopped caring.

I saw Perry Farrell & Porno for Pyros in '95 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC. What a show! Their set only lasted for 45 minutes though. As I rode the bus home, I heard on the radio (30 minutes after the show ended) they came out and did an accoustic set for the few loyal fans that remained.

I laughed at their commercial promoting the album. I can't stand the lead singer's whiny voice. I think he should lay off the eye shadow too.
