The irony of blindly supporting a black man by calling those who don't blindly support him racists speaks for itself.

That's just so damn funny and sad all at the same time.

And as I said in the other thread about fat black kids, the race card is NOTHING but an excuse to fail. It is now impossible to criticize a black person without being labeled a "racist."

LOL, "the limbic brain".

Wow, whe's definitely gone off the deep end.

Slapping the racist label on things is a quick and effective means of dismantling civil discourse. The result of which would be an uptick in violence, if allowed to permeate and ferment.

It's pretty sad when a "comedian" is more funny after they have quit comedy and gone political than when they had a "career". Lol @ the "limbic brain", the piss gargling, pseudo-intellectual twat is a joke, and a funnier one than she ever told.

Most everyone has seen that twats mindless rant, it's just funny seeing it applied equally.

But what she's saying isn't being applied in the video at all as there is no racism being displayed. While her original point was that many tea baggers and extreme right wingers hate the president pathologically, because he's a black not because of how he's running the country. There's nothing racist about criticizing the president or another elected official for his policies or the job he's doing like Olberman, Matthews, Ratigan etc where doing.

Yip, no racism, just like her original accusation. The video is as accurately applying her rant to the same speaking out against Obama as when her bile came pouring out of her mouth against the TEA Party.

Today racists complain about the race card instead of race directly. It's not fair, they believe, that they can't be racist and not be called bad. They are really good people who hate other races for good reason like bad skin color.

There is absolutely no doubt that racism is a part of the reason some people don't like Obama or disapprove of him, but one cannot possibly rationally dismiss every objection to his leadership as being motivated by racism.

I know, Moonie. You're a broken record. Anyone who doesn't agree with your total lack of faith in your fellow humans and resulting authoritarian attitude is a hate filled, self hating racist.

You say it over and over again in every fucking thread.

But the funny part is, it is you who is filled with fear and hate for your fellow man. So much so, that you feel the need to micro manage their lives with your authoritarian socialist ideology rather than leave them alone to live their own lives.

My first thought: who the fuck is Janeane Garofalo?

For curiosity, here is what a limbic brain does. Wiki has some interesting shit.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbic_system
The limbic system (or Paleomammalian brain) is a set of brain structures including the hippocampus, amygdala, anterior thalamic nuclei, and limbic cortex, which suggestively support a variety of functions including emotion, behavior, long term memory, and olfaction

* Amygdala:[4][5][6] Involved in signaling the cortex of motivationally significant stimuli such as those related to reward and fear in addition to social functions such as mating.

* Hippocampus:[4][5][6] Required for the formation of long-term memories and implicated in maintenance of cognitive maps for navigation.

* Parahippocampal gyrus:[5] Plays a role in the formation of spatial memory

* Cingulate gyrus:[4][5][6] Autonomic functions regulating heart rate, blood pressure and cognitive and attentional processing

* Fornix:[4][6] carries signals from the hippocampus to the mammillary bodies and septal nuclei.

* Hypothalamus:[4][6] Regulates the autonomic nervous system via hormone production and release. Affects and regulates blood pressure, heart rate, hunger, thirst, sexual arousal, and the sleep/wake cycle

* Thalamus:[4][6] The "relay station" to the cerebral cortex.

So the limbic brain is the part of the brain that does stuff. And she says this pushes against the frontal lobe in white power activists. Does this mean their limbic brain is misfiring as well or just the frontal thingy?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frontal_lobe
The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress unacceptable social responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. Therefore, it is involved in higher mental functions.

The frontal lobes also play an important part in retaining longer term memories which are not task-based. These are often memories associated with emotions derived from input from the brain's limbic system. The frontal lobe modifies those emotions to generally fit socially acceptable norms.

Psychological tests that measure frontal lobe function include finger tapping, Wisconsin Card Sorting Task, and measures of verbal and figural fluency.[2]

Interesting. So I think what she's saying is that their limbic area still works and they are still able to behave as social animals with sleep cycles and stuff, but their frontal lobe is not working and this impairs their ability to think of long-term effects of what they are doing. Maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Alright so here's more interesting stuff from google. I searched for "conservatives frontal lobe" to see if she was actually trying to make an argument based on something she read somewhere, maybe something from Cosmo. Since we already have a Cosmo and Cosmo Girl, we should have Cosmo Neurology.

http://neuropolitics.org/Aging-Indu...and the Right Hemisphere Aging Hypothesis.htm
Age-Induced Conservatism and the Right Hemisphere Aging Hypothesis

Many psychopharmacological studies have documented the degeneration of the catecholamine systems, such as norepinephrine and dopamine, which have been proposed by Tucker and Williamson (1) to be distributed asymmetrically in the human brain, and engendering the left and right hemispheres to specialize in functionality.

Tucker and Williamson argued that the left hemisphere is organized around a dopamine activation system, making it superior for motor control and language. They further argued that the right hemisphere is organized around a noradrenergic activation system, which maintains alertness, integrates bilateral perceptual information, and analyses new stimuli. Brack and Zhang (2) have given evidence of hemispheric asymmetries and their influence on conservative and liberal mental attributes, which we now propose to be at least partially related to the asymmetric catecholamine theory of Tucker and Williamson.

Hemispheric asymmetry in aging has at least two different models---the right hemi-aging model, which proposes that the right hemisphere exhibits a greater age-related decline than the left, and the Hemispheric Asymmetry Reduction in Old Adults (HAROLD) model, which proposes that frontal cortex activity is less lateralized in older than in younger adults. These two models are not mutually exclusive. As early as 1958, Wechsler (3) reported visuospatial deficiencies in the elderly as related to younger controls. However, there was little or no decline in verbal and language comprehension tests between the elderly and young. This led Klisz (4) to the suggestion that aging leads to a greater loss in right versus left hemispheric functionality. (right side was the noradrenaline side - alertness, perception, analysis of stimuli)

.....
We have found a significantly greater reliance in the elderly on left ear dependence for single ear conversation (e.g. phone conversations). From Under 25 to Over 60, the shift to left ear preference for phone conversation more than doubles (from 26% to 56%).
.....

(charts trying to show left ear preference vs various things)

-liberals tended to have worse attention spans

-conservatives prefer more simple models of reality (lol creationists)

-conservatives overwhelmingly thought of life as being a battle of good vs evil while liberals rarely saw it that way

.....

The Liberal cohort indicated an age-dependent improvement in language comprehension performance to rival or exceed the performance of the Conservatives in the Over 60 age cohort. Concurrent with this language comprehension improvement is a shift towards more organized and unambiguous reality models for the Liberals. This corresponds to the general decline in right hemispheric cognitive functions, which interfere more with visuospatial performance than language comprehension. It also points to a more left hemisphere influenced thinking style, which is more prone towards stronger Conservative and Religious beliefs. It also implies that an aging voting population will tend more towards Conservative and Religious agendas, all other environmental factors being equal.

So I think what the article said is that your right brain turns to shit as you get older, you begin to have a stronger reliance on the left side of your brain (left side is in-order processing), and this makes people conservative.
That's actually kind of interesting how they included the thing about ear preference. I use my left ear to talk on the phone (like an old person), I prefer doing things in a very logical and sequential way (like an old person), and I act very conservative in real life (like an old person).

(I just hijacked your thread about some bitch nobody cares about)

Yet many of todays racists specialize in playing the race card, but somehow that's OK?
