I love Jamiroquai, but the group has definitely changed from its early acid jazz tunes with a horn section to the newer dance stuff. Earlier favorites include Didjital Vibrations and Music For the Mind, with Main Vein and Morning Glory also personal faves. I love the groups musical diversity, with even a reggae tune like 'Drifting Along' tossed in there with a tune such as 'Manifest Destiny' or 'Just Another Story' that just sort of grows on your musical tastes.

Futures made of virtual insanity
now always seem, to be governed by this love we have
For useless, twisting, our new technology
Oh now there is no sound for we all live underground

Jamiroquai is still around?

After posting in this thread, I've been poking around and listening to some new Jamiroquai such as Runaway and Seven Days in Sunny June, and I must say I am hooked on both tunes !! I haven't bought a CD in years now, but I feel compelled to buy this one simply because that is my favorite artist and I hope the new CD coming out this year allows them the creative freedom (now that they are done with Sony) to continue to put out fresh tracks.

Give these tunes a listen if you haven't already ... they grow on you like a bad habit.

Just listened to Seven Days in Sunny June. Sounds a LOT like old Steely Dan.

You may be on to something. What language do you speak natively?

True dat ! I never noticed until you mentioned it, but put Stevie Wonder at vocals over a Steel Dan track and that's what it sounds like !

War ? Ehhh ... sorry. Music is one thing that no one agrees on 100%, so I'll leave it at that and express my affection for Jay Kay's tunes.
