I'm familiar with the first Challenger Deep dive.

My point is that another US group has already been successfully revisiting the site and collecting samples and specimens.

With a robotic sub, yes but not solo. No one has been to Challenger Deep outside of the original 2 in the 1960s.

I bet some Hollywood Executives where sweating bullets as he was doing this. They got Avatar 2 and 3 lined up. Already starting to get the sound stages ready. He also had the re-release of Titanic in 3D on Tuesday. Sorry Cameron couldn't show up because he is stuck in the Marianas Trench.
