I'll never know why people keep feeding the troll. Just ignore it and it'll go away.

To get back on-topic, the Equinox is a great SUV. A good friend of mine just bought one, and it is very nice. Neither he, nor I, have problems with feathers or rocks stuck to our clothing, so the seat should be just fine.

The CR-V and RAV4 are nice too, but this comperable and is priced to sell.

Again, sales don't equate to good. Was the Ford Taurus the best car in the late 80's or early 90's? No, but it sold well. That argument is getting REALLY old.

Edit: SP
The CRV and Rogue are 2 of the ugliest pieces of crap to ever come out of Japan. The Rav4 at least looks decent and has a great V6. Between it and Equinox I don't know why anybody would get anything else. Unless you want a hybrid, I guess, where the Escape is your only decent option.

Thanks guys...

I should have be more clear on my question.

Inexpensive car for a recently graduate who need a reliable car for at least another 5 years. ( he has 20K cash budget for now, and plan to save 100k for the down payment of a house next 5 years. )

I haven't drive those specific vehicles, but going on my experience from driving all of those brands, Toyotas offer some of the numbest driving experience possible. Video games offer more feedback than Toyotas.

Hondas and Nissans are much more enjoyable to drive.

MBrown,

I am opposed to how the government is handling the situation. GM and Chrysler should have just filed for bankruptcy and did what they needed to do under the structure that already exists. Instead, billions of tax dollars (money that comes out of every paycheck of mine) were completely wasted and the government now owns one of the worlds largest auto companies.

Isn't anyone catching that? The US government OWNS a company.

Let me provide a few definitions for everyone.

Socialism - a political theory advocating state ownership of industry
Fascism - any movement, ideology, or attitude that favors dictatorial government, centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism

Someone tell me how those two words don't describe everything the federal government has done since last fall .. or trending towards for the last 100 years or so.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're talking about a small SUV, aka a cute-ute right? I wonder how many people care about it's numb driving.

Hmmm...We have an 03 Montana that gets 20MPG avg (according to FuelEconomy.gov), and this Equinox gets 26MPG avg. Might have to take advantage of that $4500 cash for clunkers!!! Especially since my van is worth $3500 at best. Hell, if I strip out the captains chairs, radio, keyfobs, and sell them on ebay..swap wheels and tires for something cheap....I could wind up getting $5k - $5500 out of the ole van. Anyone need spare parts of a 2000-2005 GM minivan???

holy crap. The Cruize is number one on a very short list of cars I'll be looking at next year when I get a new car. Looks like another entry has been added to the list!

You're not eligible for cash for clunkers unless you get under 18 mpg combined. I've got a van that gets 19 that I would have turned in if I could.

Exactly. I would be interested in a DI 2.4 AWD version if the company weren't owned by Obama and the UAW.

Edit: Must not have been one (I was following about 3 cars back) because the taillights on the Chevrolet homepage looking NOTHING like the vehicle that I was following. Now I don't know what the hell it was, damnit! :(

Followed an 2010 model to work this morning. Looked good from the front and side, but didn't care much for the rear, especially the taillights. Not a bad vehicle by any means though (didn't like the dark gray color though - either black or white :D ).

Still thinking about this one....

So you can forgive/forget that the Japanese and Germans committed crimes against humanity during WW2, but you cannot overlook the US govt's involvement in GM? :p :D

(Did someone already start a thread on that topic?)
