Jail refuses to treat man's 6 day erection

Somebody's getting a payday!

I can't even imagine.

WTF

After the surgery, Cotton was sent back to MDC with stitches that were supposed to be removed in seven to 10 days, according to court documents. Barnes told Cotton they would dissolve on their own, Cotton said.

But they were not self-dissolving, the lawsuit says. By the time they were removed Aug. 9, they had become embedded in the skin of his penis, according to court documents, and no anesthetic was used to remove them.

Giving him an ice pack for priaprism? The doctor ought to lose his license over that.

For profit prisons will try to do anything to save money. The company that was running the prison should pay up big time for this incompetence by their employees.

That's some scary stuff right there. In jail you don't really get the perks of anaesthetic or any of that fancy stuff outsiders get, if you even get aid at all. I wonder if they're still boiling people alive in showers. I recall something to that effect a few years back. They basically cranked all the water heaters to max and would tie people up in the showers to torture them till they die. I guess as a form of population control if running out of room. US prisons are no joke. I feel bad for people who are in there for petty crimes and never actually hurt anyone. Some other countries are much worse though.

Rainey was forced by guards into a prison shower stall with the water turned on to the highest temperature. These guards kept him in this cell for over an hour—with him begging and screaming for them to let him out—until his skin started to peel off and he died.

That's just 1 incident that happen to make the news. It's kind of hard for stuff that happens in jail to make it on the news. I presume someone got fired over that one.

Hope you're being sarcastic. I've never heard of prisons tying up inmates and boiling them alive. In fact, they got it better than us. 3 hots and a cot! With all the man sex you could ask for. If that's your thing of course. 🙂

Another reason private prisons are a complete failure.

Is as if America is a testing ground for idiotic ideas.

As far as I know, the Manhattan Detention Complex is not a privately run jail. The people providing healthcare might belong to an outside company though.

Regardless, the way we allow prisoners to be treated in this country, convicted or otherwise (because in NYC, there's been a few cases where people have been locked up in Riker's for a year or two just waiting for a trial) is absolutely despicable.

Obviously I don't know what this condition is, but.... can't he just fap in the cell? What medical attention could possibly help with this?

This is zero to do with private prisons. This was a municipal prison. The people involved are all NYC city employees.

The number of private prisons has been grossly exaggerated. Less than 5 or 10% of prisons are private. Most states have no private prisons.

This is what happens when you have a mayor who cares more about appeasing Manhattan Bankers than the real people of NYC.

The doctors are employed by a private company. Or I thought? Did I read that wrong?

Let's not make this political. Too many dick jokes to make and not enough time.
