Jaguar C-X16 possibly the best looking car ever?

Not a real car guy, but that 8C is incredible looking.

Though now that I look at other shots from different angles that raised 'triangle' on the front doesn't really appeal to me, but ignoring that I think it's just about ideal.

That's the Alfa Romeo grill. To Car nuts that adds to it IMO

isn't Jaguar the same company as Tata's now?

I don't see an ugly car in this thread.

that one is pretty ugly. even while on fire... 😛

that jag is definitely a purty car. i think a lot of the cars in this thread are. the first thing i thought of when i saw the OP was "GT-R" tho. :sneaky:

Two more to consider:

1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Pininfarina CHL (2 made)

1970 Maserati Ghibli Spyder SS (25 made)

British cars have to be good looking. They need to look good in the driveway or the garage where they are the most reliable.

Whereas American cars don't need to look good, they just need to be cheap, big and move in a forward direction.

Its good looking, but I wouldn't say best ever.

I don't like the split side openings in the lower fascia (which look way too big too me).

The headlights aren't bad, but I like circular headlights better. I like them here a lot more than the ones on the SLS. Its another car that I really like the look of, but the side openings and headlights on the lower front fascia could be improved and it would be even better.

Yep, because British people primarily drive Aston Martins and Jaguars. 🙄

There's more shit cars in Britain than there are great ones, which is the same as everywhere else.

I've always liked the tidier shape of the Vantage more than the larger and/or more flamboyant DB9/DBS. There's a certain flow of the curves & lines and economy of scoops/strakes that I love about it. Also love the other design elements like the very short front & rear overhangs and the crease that runs from the front quarter gills through the doors and into the rear quarter.

I wouldn't kick any of the Astons out of bed, though the One-77 still looks a bit bizarre to me.

While it is good looking, and I love it...ever, is too strong of a word for it. Only thing I'm not so fond of is the rear end, which...just seems a little out of place with the front, but I can get over it. I'm very interested to see a more final version with proper wheels (those really don't help the car), ride height, interior, etc. With those specs it is veryyy high on my list of future cars.

Thankfully it won't be out for a few years so I can't get too jealous just yet 😛

And yet American cars do look good and handle great. I think maybe you're getting your impression of American cars from the 60s-90s... This is 2011.

I'm yet to see any evidence of that. To my mind there are only two good looking American cars.

if your evidence consists of clarkson (for handling), keep in mind he's the guy that programs every german car's nav to find it's way to warsaw.

its got a push to pass feature (similar to KERS). i would love to drive that, its probably the closest i'll get to f1 😛

+1 on the e-type, i love that car, its looks are timeless, but this new jag isnt hard on the eyes either.
