have you tried HL2 Deathmatch yet...just as fun as the game itself.

I wouldn't say I'm jaded.

There are few games nowadays that I can just play and play. Thank goodness when september/november rolls around:

Metroid Prime echos is a game I can't wait to play when I get home.

HL2 I still haven't finished and haven't even begun prince of persia 2. It just takes finding that game that really does it for you.

I play WoW every once in a while and that's getting boring. I still have yet to play through Far Cry. I still have Paper Mario and Tales of Symphonia to start, and GTA:SA, MGS3, Halo 2 to finish. I'll end up picking up Suikoden IV next week but I probably won't get to it for a long time.

i noticed a bunch of console titles. i don't play consoles much, but a good number of my buddies have either the PS2 or Xbox and when i get to play, they're pretty decent. yesterday i played some Def Jam fighting game on the Xbox, with all the rappers. it was fun!

I'd agree that a majority of games fail at appealing to me for sheer fun and "immersion," regardless of how slick they are graphically.

I do like multiplayer online games a lot though, particularly team shooters like the Tribes series, or even the FREE America's Army.

And only today I reinstalled System Shock 2, which years after it's release still outshines most in gameplay and atmospheres/environments.
