Jacob Wetterlings' killer finally caught after 27 years.

The guy confessed after he was caught recently with kiddy porn.

If you ever lived in Minnesota, you almost assuredly heard of the case. If you lived outside of Minnesota but still remember 1989 clearly, you probably heard of the case.

The man in question was quite young when he did it, and will most likely spend the rest of his life in jail.

John Walsh was a huge supporter of the Wetterling family. As I recall his son was abducted right around the same time. He did a whole episode on it with his new crime show, now on Netflix. I wonder if he'll do a follow up, or if it will make national news again after all these years.

Family is just glad to finally be at peace.

I remember reading about that case years back, and then seeing the update yesterday. Absolutely heart-wrenching for the family to have to hear what happened to their innocent 9 year old child all those years ago, and I can only imagine the terror that child went through. The kid was just riding his bicycle home with his brother and a friend when the pedo murderer kidnapped him at gunpoint, molested/raped him and then executed him and dumped the body (and later dug it up and re-burried it).

Just terrible , glad the guy is finally in jail and the family can have some closure.

He deserves death but they settled on a plea deal for closure. One can only hope for the worst possible outcome for this guy in prison.
