He had a fantastic career and you should all go look at his movies, except Caddyshack 2 which was horse shit.
 
Rabbi turned comedian turned Fox Noise assistant outrage vendor and then Trump cheerleader. To me that kind of cancels out whatever his movie and stage career was. Sad for his family, but Jackie no longer being such an enthusiastic participant in the right's culture war, or promoting traitors like Trump, is a good thing. Still, RIP Mason.

You'd know him if you saw him. He was a "Johnny Carson" era comedian. He was in Caddyshack II and popular on the talkshow circuit in the 70's and 80's. I remember being a kid watching The Ant and the Aardvark cartoons, and John Byner imitated Jackie Mason's voice for the Aardvark.

They tried to get Rodney back for Caddyshack, but he read the script and turned it down. I guess they added Dan Aykroyd later because the movie didn't screen well.
