Jack dropped my engine

I was/am working on replacing the intake manifold gaskets on my 2000 Malibu (3.1L). I have everything torn down and the engine was being supported by a jack and wood block under the oil pan. Long story short, I left for a bit and when I came back the jack had collapsed. This particular engine only has one engine mount on the passenger side, which was removed. It didn't hit the floor or anything too drastic, but it was definitely sitting low. What's the likely outcome after I button everything back up?

You left a part of your car supported only by a jack and not a jack stand or engine stand? Tsk tsk :colbert:

You may have damaged your suspension and/or CV joints and drive axles. Take it for a very conservative test drive after it's all back together.

Did anyone else read the title of the thread in the narrator's voice from 'Fight Club'?

I am Jack's jack.

I drop Jack's engine.

I kill Jack under his car.

There is NO reason for you to be supporting the engine to do the intake.
It is a time consuming job ,but not that bad.

i would be very surprised if you hurt anything. maybe a hose popped off or something but i doubt you ruined your project.
