Jack Del Rio and the Jags

Since I was called out and the thread was locked 🙂awe🙂, I will give my take on Jack "Il Sung" Del Rio. Yes, my friend and I call him Jack "Il Sung" Del Rio because no matter what that dumbass does, he never seems to get fired. He is their "Eternal Coach" much like Kim Il Sung is North Korea's "Eternal President."

The Jags are my second most hated team (after the Pats, of course 😀 ). After listening to years of their crybaby players whining about "getting no respect" right before the Colts tore them a new one, I enjoy seeing any Jag meltdown.
 
Jags are in my top 5 most hated too. And it blows my mind, just as it does yours, that Del Rio still has a job.

I had forgotten that I had planned to do my weekly feature in the weekly NFL thread about Mr. Del Rio. Maybe I'll start this week. 😀
 
I think every Jags game I see, I still say "Wait, he's still the coach there?"

On a side note, whats the over/under on the Colts getting Garrard?

Haha. I'm perplexed as to why they dropped David Garrard right before the season started. They must want to be in the running for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes or something. Not that Garrard was that great, but he's definitely better than Blaine Gabbert.
 
I agree, I'm glad he hasn't gotten fired. The lolz are too great.

I miss the days of "Chilly" in Minnesota, especially being a Bears fan. Now that he's gone, making fun of the Vikings isnt nearly as fun.

That's interesting. My wife is a huge Jags fan. Her most hated teams (this year) are the Texans and the Patriots (a coincidence). Usually, her most hated team is either the Patriots or the Colts.

This is going to be an interesting year in the AFC South. With Peyton Manning's health issues the rest of the world is seeing just how bad the Colts are without Manning. He is one of the highest paid players in the NFL ... and probably well worth it. If I still cared about NFL football I would make a prediction ... but my guess is that both the Colts and Jaguars are going to end up below .500. Based upon the post game highlights that my wife watches it looks like the Colts may be the cellar dwellers of the division.

Pending the return of Manning ... it looks like a very rough year for both teams ...

Kim Jong Il is N. Korea's eternal president. Kim Il Sung is dead.

It's been this way for a long time now. In fact he's been dead longer than Jacksonville has had a football team.

How do you feel now that you know that all this time you've been doing it wrong?

Nope, you have it reversed. Sorry. Kim Il Sung, who is dead, is their eternal president and was given that title when he croaked in 1994.

Well, there is the second known Jags fan. I think Bigfoot sightings are more frequent than finding Jags fans.

Three years ago, I played AoC and we had a Jags fan in our guild. He was talking smack about the Colts and how awesome the Jags were and "guaranteed" the Jags would win the division the following year. The Colts won the division every year since and went to one Super Bowl. I wish I still talked to him so I could rub it in. :awe:
 
I remember him from his years as the asshole linebacker for the Vikings. He was like Bill Romanowski light.
 
When the Jags beat the Colts this year, and twice at that, I do not envy you having to listen to their fans (they have fans, right?).
