If that's the standard, then this forum is a shithole full of trolls, with a few exceptions of course but when trolls act up, it gets pretty polarized.
Hey there, sport, you oughta get out some Windex and clean your mirror.

Then go hide in a corner because there's a substantial % of the population fed up with woke culture and inept morons getting positions through DEI.

DEI is racist. No matter what excuses people make for pretending it is a good idea, racists have always made excuses for why their racism is acceptable. Different day, different excuse.

Hint: Individuals who are members of some minority are often the best candidate for a position but also lose that position to someone else who is less fit, because of DEI. It is not just discriminatory against white males, but even that would be racist and sexist, a step backwards for society. The way forward is to stop making excuses for racism and call out racist DEI advocates.

Regarding Vance, he is unfit, but so is Trump, and Kamala, and Biden, so par for the course. Vance may be less fit to be president than Kamala but that's not his running position and I doubt Trump would die of old age in office, so IMO it really doesn't change much what a VP candidate's positions are, except that it is further evidence of how disconnected Trump is from society... not that Kamala really cares about anything other than her own agenda either, so it's still society having to make tough choices and half the country shouldn't be forced to abide by what the other half wants.
Define woke

You people have changed the meaning of DEI to hiring an unqualified person of color or a woman.

You are also against affirmative action except the way practiced by the GOP, all white boys. If those AA white boys are so great why did so many under Trump have to resign, get indicted and sent to prison? Compare that to Obama who practiced real DEI had zero indictments or people sent to prison.

What to see a great example of DEI working? Get a copy of Obamas last intern class picture and compare to Trumps first. Your eyes will tell you

The Harris campaign can't really believe he'll turn Kentucky blue. GQP here hates his fucking guts. They think he's the devil. I don't see any electoral battleground states tipping the scales to him either. Just let him be the best D guv in the country for the next few years!!!
The only reason Andy got in is that the GQP hated Bevins more for some stuff he did. Andy stayed in because of some stuff he did for the state while the other Orange Guy (Cameron) was busy doing stuff that nobody really knew who it was for.

Whomever was the 1980 VP nominee, I assume the Democrat one.
Per polling he is the most disliked since 1980.
" Reagan, a Republican from California, took office following his landslide victory over Democrat incumbent president Jimmy Carter and independent congressman John B. Anderson in the 1980 presidential election. "

Carter ran with Mondale and the other guy ran with another nobody.

I still have no idea what woke is other than code for the n-word. How is Dei a bad thing? I am successful middle aged white dude who looks at American history objectively and is appalled by the treatment of minorities and woman for most of it. I would love an MLK world but we have a Trump one.

This is because you have skills, talent, something to offer. It is only white men with none of that, and no brains either, who have nothing to offer anything but still believe to their core that they are God's Chosen, or simply the "right race," that when faced by vastly superior minorities that don't deserve the jobs and recognition that chosen white boy deserves, it must be because cheating and nothing that white buy did...other than of course generations of very same white boy's ancestors enslaving, lynching, and preventing those very same minorities from owning property, bank accounts, any kind of wealth generation and education to ever have a chance to compete, to this day.

you know, because god gave white boy all these advantages. Even though it is codified in history that white boy very explicitly and very proudly prevented the minority from having any kind of equal competitive standing, for fucking generations, it is now hurtful to white boy to have this pointed out to them, and is apparently the worst form of racism.

When you see ignorant shits like mindless1 act in this frothing racist self-hate, you just have to ignore them. It isn't just ignorance: it's hate and jealousy.

I was aghast watching ABC national news tonight when they played a clip of J.D. Vance at a rally (today?) declaring that people with children should have more clout at the voting booth than people without children. I'm WTH? This guy's a lawyer?

Eagleton?
Dan Quayle?

How did Dan Quayle spell potato?

Dan Quayle's 'Potatoe' Incident – 1992
Feeding Frenzy
A minor slip-up by Vice President Dan Quayle hatched a frenzy and a long-running joke. Quayle led a spelling bee for sixth-grade students while visiting an elementary school in New Jersey in 1992. Working from an inaccurate flash card prepared by a teacher, he corrected William Figueroa, 12, when the child spelled "potato" on the blackboard – making the boy add an unnecessary "e" at the word's end.

Quayle would never hear the end of it. The media assault for this goof was truly relentless. The young Figueroa crystallized the effects of this incident on Quayle's public image when he said that it "showed that the rumors about the vice president are true – that he's an idiot."

Heh, okay one last post...

lol, quite the opposite. I want a unified country instead of spreading hate, LIKE YOU JUST TRIED TO DO.

That's called madness.

You want to project your feelings of hate and jealousy onto me? Try someone else who buys that nonsense.

I remember even PJ O'Rourke mocked Quayle. That's how ridiculous the guy was - even a fervent, partisan, conservative couldn't resist such an easy target.

I feel as if Dan Quale's wasn't immediate after his selection.

Reports show that Vance got the lowest approval ratings since 1980. No one likes this dickhead, and signs point to Trump having buyer’s remorse as well. Trump is mercurial and hates rules. If he decides that Vance is public enemy number one as of tomorrow then Vance will be gone.

I’d love for someone to put up billboards in Appalachia with quotes from his book, and print signs for protestors to hold up outside of his rallies.

Including:

"The message of the right is increasingly: It’s not your fault that you’re a loser; it’s the government’s fault.":

"There is a cultural movement in the white working class to blame problems on society or the government, and that movement gains adherents by the day."

"To this day, I find the very notion of pajamas an unnecessary elite indulgence"

"There is no group of Americans more pessimistic than working-class whites."

"We talk about the value of hard work but tell ourselves that the reason we’re not working is some perceived unfairness: Obama shut down the coal mines, or all the jobs went to the Chinese. These are the lies we tell ourselves"

“Never be like these fucking losers who think the deck is stacked against them,” my grandma often told me.

To this day, being able to “take advantage” of someone is the measure in my mind of having a parent.

Maddow summed Vance nomination well.
“Vance was nominated because Trump was so convinced he was going to win he chose someone to rack up votes with the base”
Basically Vance brings nothing new but in Uber MAGA land he will bring votes to run up the total votes, not the type of votes that win elections.

Truly impressed that he has reached Dan Quayle levels already and is rapidly headed towards the full Palin.

I didn't think it was possible.
