Iwill XP333 "unknown flash type"

had this board (Iwill XP 333 rev 2.1) running perfectly with an XP1800+ machine for nearly a year. I had another machine's (1.33 Athlon) mobo blow some capacitors, so I upgraded the 1800+ machine to an A7N8X and put the Iwill in the 1.33 machine. I had windows XP on both the 1.33 and 1800+. I would get an error message reading the following when I attempted to boot the machine:
can not load setupdd.sys, error code 7
Setup can not continue, press any key to exit

I also notice that after the machine posts, a message reading "unknown flash type" Until this pt I had not flashed the bios. I then attempt to reset CMOS, this did nothing. I have tried all available BIOS for this revision of the board (I think there are 3) and all come cannot be flashed as it reads "Unknown Flash Type!" I have made sure the setting within the Bios is set to Flashable and the Bios is holding the setting. I know how to flash a bios, so I don't think it is operator error. I came across this thread at AMDMB.com I have followed this exactly with no luck.

What I am doing wrong/not doing? Any help would be awesome.

did you post and ask the iwill forum people at amdmb.com???......that would be the place to start ....sorry i could'nt help....
 
I have also gotten this error, but on a Soyo motherboard. Wonder what's going on? I only ever got that error beginning maybe a month ago.
