Perhaps you can try out the forum at amdmb.com. There are a lot of Iwill users there. They will probably be able to help you clear things out.

Where did you find the board? Everyone I have talked to said it was 9-10 dasy away from shipping. If I were you I would email IWILL's customer service and ask them to explain it.

I've been waiting for this board too. I just do not want to pay the premium for the ABIT KR7A, $185 versus $125 for the IWILL.

What version of WCPUID are you using? It probably is just not recognizing the Ali chipset correctly...

I got the board from the local (Anaheim, CA) Fry's along with an Athlon XP 1900+ for $399.

I am using WCPUID 3.0D (the latest version)

I posted the 'problem' on AMDMB.com's forums and have been notified that the same reading shows up on all XP333 'C1' Northbridge motherboards.

I also suspect that the chipset is returning the value of 'B0' since the 'C1' is just a tweaked 'B0' northbridge. Or, WCPUID could just be reading values from somewhere deep-rooted in the registry where the northbridge has been incorrectly identified as 'B0' because 'C1' is newer than the OS (WinXP)

At any rate, it seems to be the reading everybody is getting. I've e-mailed WCPUID techs to find out internally how the program works. I'll keep you posted on the status.

Peace

Hi, I just purchased Iwill xp333-R from ATACOM.com. I received it yestaday. I also put the 2 of 256mb TwinMOS DDR PC2700 and MAXTOR D740x 40gb hard drive on my system. That is amazing!! It runs just like FLY!! I like it.

According to ALi web site FAQ, the C1 revision chip is the same silicon as the B0 - just that those marked B0 are engineering samples, while the mass production lots are marked C1.

So I'd expect the chip to report B0, no problem with that.
