Are there any users out there that can help me on this?

Here's what I've noticed...

1. When I turn the computer on, there is a 10 second pause before the computer actually boots up and beeps and my monitor recieves a signal... is this typical of the board?

2. The board occasionally identifies my Athlon 1800+ as 1150mhz, and I would have to go into bios to rechange the settings.

3. My Athlon 1800+ chip and heatsink gets really hot, and i'm using a coolermaster heatsink that's supposed to be for up to 2100+ chips.

But when I get the thing running into windows XP, everything is fine.

WHAT SHOULD I DO? AND ARE THESE NORMAL SYMPTOMS?? HELP!

I've had the board only for 8 days... so I could still return it to my local Fry's (30 day return).

It is a common issue with this board. Live with it, or exchange it. :) Like I suggested in your other post, I would get a KT333 board if I were in your situation. I am looking at the XP333 sitting on my bench right now, (along with others ;) ) and am glad that I am now running the AT7 as my primary rig.

1. Mine has always booted right up, been using it for several months now.
2. Mine will do that...but only if it crashes if I try too aggressive of an overclock.
3. Sounds like maybe you're heatsink isn't properly seated maybe? Mine runs cool with my Alpha:)

Your board may have issues, my XP333R was the easiest setup ever, and continues to be very stable after running a fairly aggressive overclock for months now.
