I purchased a KA266 only to find out that it won't function with Samsung ram or my Rage Pro video card. I need the card to download my video camera. Why can't they tell you up front of these problems. Add a couple of hard drives, cdroms and a bunch of programs and you'll have one unstable MB. The black screen of death is common. Stay away from this one. I would have to spend hundreds extra to even start making the board work.
 
I have the board and it runs great no problem. See If it has the latest bios. The latest one is Feb 15 2000. Also check to see what version the board is. Mine is Rev 1.3. Stay away from 1.1 and 1.2 they'll give you problems.The new bios should fix any redeon problems. I also have Samsung mem and they work fine. Can only get to work at ultra not ultra2 and is running at 2-2-2. It's usually 2.5-3-3. If you have the rev 1.1 or 1.2 return It and get a rev 1.3 from somewere else.
