bios version kkpr0826.exe (dated aug 26th 2003) for the kk266 specifically says it supports 48bit harddrives (ie. that means it supports drives larger then 137gb)

so if your using the latest bios it should work fine with a pair of 300gb drives

if you need to download the latest bios just follow the link below and click on "bios" and type in the model #
http://www.iwill.net/supports/supports.asp?vID=26&MID=26

***EDIT*** i just noticed that the kkpr0826.exe is for the kk266plus-r not the plain kk266 (so the 48bit support that is mentioned is most likely for the highpoint integrated IDE controller) and if they have an updated bios that updates an addon controller then i would be very supprised if they hadnt previously updated the controller integrated into the southbridge.

so no guarantee, but i would imagine if you use the newest bios for your board it will have support for your 300gb drives

i have the regular kk266, not the plus or raid version. the latest/last version of the bios is 10/22/01 which is the one i have. i doubt it supports it, but will contact iwill anyway. the board has been very reliable over its use of service. i also have a ecs k7s5a ( a reliable one) and am freeing up a biostar m7ncdpro that i am pretty sure would support those huge hdds, but i really like the iwill board. thanks for the assistance :)
