I've tried everything. I was testing it just the mobo + ram, then i took the ram out, had the mobo sitting on the anti-static bag with just the main power cable and power switch plugged in. All that happens is a green led in the bottom corner of the board flashes briefly and the cpu fan spins around a couple of times, then nothing.

What's disturbing is there are a lot of people here running their rigs on old 235w ps's, all the way up to 1ghz+. My ps is from '97, does anyone think it could be a voltage issue?

Is there ANY reason why even a lower than spec ps wouldn't cause the mobo to at least power on?

(btw I've got a tbird 850 on there, no big deal...)

Yeah probably not enough 3.3 volt from your supply, for approximately 50 watts of just cpu power, you need 15.15 amps available. Does you supply do that much? My 250 only had 15. Yeah so your probably under powered.

It wasn't this board but I had a Iwill ka266r mobo and the light came and stayed on but the board was bad. No beeps bad sign I say. Also something I noticed the power switch which hooks to the front of the board and then is on the front of your case, well when I pushed it the board would come on but if I pushed it again the board won't go off. I got a new one and the power switch turns the board both off and on. Just my experience.
