I am looking for a decent Athlon or P4 barebones system to save some money in building a system for a friend. I would like to get a decent case, 300 or more watt power supply, DDR or RDRAM motherboard, floppy drive, and a processor with heat sink and fan for around $200. You can just about get this by buying an ECS K7S5A motherboard and Athlon XP1800+ from Outpost.com, any number of cases from NewEgg, and a floppy drive from a local store, but the price comes out just above $200. I was hoping that by buying these things in combination the price would be a little lower. Does someone know of a deal along these lines or am I better off buying the parts separately?
 
Looking for a cheap laptop battery for a Smart Book V-star laptop. I'm not sure on the manufacturer, but I believe its Commex. Can only find a handful of sites that sell this type of battery, but quite expensive. Anyone know where I can get them cheap? 😕
 
I want up to 4 (but would like at least 2) NiMh battery kits for the MOTOROLA T289 2 WAY RADIOS. These are currently on clearance at OD for $2.99 each. I do not have an OD near me. I want to buy an AMD processor for around $50-60, I can get retail (ie including HSF) Duron 1Ghz from newegg for $51 shipped.
But I know Athlon is gonna perform better than this, but newegg doesn't carry athlons these days. I don't want to suffer from unreliable vendors, I know newegg is excellent with its service. Where else can I buy an Athlon (900Mhz or more) including HSF for strictly within $60??
 
I want a good deal for 2 256MB PC133 SODIMM RAM sticks for Dell Insporon 8100. Apparantly the cheaper modules with high density chips do not work with the 8100 (???)

I am looking for an inexpensive, reliable depot laptop repair vendor.


The power cord socket ON THE LAPTOP has a faulty connection. one must bend
(stress) the power cord to keep it charging / plugged in. It's a toshiba satellite
pro 225cds with 48 MB, p133, 2GB hd.
