I'm trying to build an 8GB system with 4X2GB DIMMs. Since I can find 1GB DIMMs for $25/GB, I don't want to spend more than $40/GB for a total of $320.

I'm looking for a decent brand (3-5yr warranty) IDE or SATA internal hard drive. Whatever is the cheapest, best deal between 200-500gb.

A good online store for A/V and Computer cables. I know there are several out there, but I always forget the good ones. Specifically, I'm looking for a deal on a 50ft s-video cable.

I wanna external drive enclosure with at least:

- USB2 external bus

- PATA internal drive-enclosure bus

- Supports at least 400GB drive capacity

- IF a drive is included it is 400-500GB

- Enclosure allows spinning down drive, not constantly running

- Reasonable quality power and electronics. Casing quality and ventilation not important/fixable.

Sales and Rebates - even better!

The cheapest possible notebook that has DVI output, that is the only thing that matters, it will only be used for web browsing via a DVI to HDMI converter on an HDTV.
