I didn?t get the RAM I wanted for Christmas. My in-law the ?tech guy? picked me for the gift exchange and I got a $70 assortment of local wines instead of the RAM I asked for. 🙁

So it is off to NewEgg or ??? looking for a good RAM deal

My PCs:
Compaq Presario S4000V 2.2 P4 currently has 1x512 PC2700

Compaq Presario S6500NX XP 3000+ currently has 1x512 PC2700

HP Pavilion a850e AMD64 3000+ currently has 1x512 PC3200

All have one free DIMM slot. Since my next comps will be AMD 64s or better I would like to get all PC3200 sticks for forward compatibility. I believe that the PC3200s can be used in the auto mode to run at 333 mhz on the older machines. Thinking of getting three 1Gig sticks, or would three 512mb be enough?

It has been forever since I bought any RAM so I am clueless about quality and prices. What is the deal with "timings"?

Need to add another hard drive to my current seagate 200gb sata drive. Looking for any deals on a 200gb or 250gb SATA drive. I saw the deal for the 160gb for $50 from seagate, but I only have 3 slots in my computer for HD's and was looking for something bigger. Any thoughts on that, PM me. Prefer AGP Motherboard. PCI-E only okay if chipset is NForce4.

Note that the motherboard does not need to be good for OCing. I'll OC once the CPU begins to become dated.

CUSA used to have two pieces of sheet mettle that would screw onto your existing cage to allow additional HDs to be inserted beneath your existing cage.
It used to be online only but hasn't been available for ages.

A laser or waterproof ribbon FAX is prefered to an ink jet model. Closeouts are fine, anything decent for under $70.
