i wanna know where i can go to check out ibm laptops - i tried to email ibm, but they didn't reply straightforwardly about who their resellers are. never had a laptop before - don't know anyone with an ibm either - would really like to see one up front before purchasing. anyone know what stores would carry ibm's? (particularly in so.cal)

thanks!!

I am looking for a C5050 5 MP Olympus DigiCam deal I tried the refurbished one for $465 in NYC, ($505 shipped to hawaii with 90 day warantee) and after telling the salesman I did not want peripferals pushed on me and to not be told it is in stock and then not have it, so he took my addrsss and name and said hold on 30 sec, came back and said, I reserverd you one, they are coming in 2 weeks.

How can they count on refurbished in any numbers 2 weeks from now he may say wait 2 more weeks at that time. so I pulled out of the deal.
Locally Costco sells them for 659 plus 4% tax. I am in Hawaii

I am looking for a good deal on A/V cables, 20' or longer. I found on here for $17 shipped, but didn't know if anyone knew of a place cheaper, or if Radio Shack would have something like this.

Also, looking for a deal on a printer. GF is looking for one for college, mostly to print papers, so don't need anything immaculate, just your basic printer, and something where the cartridges aren't outrageous.

Thanks.

EDIT Edited link.

gump, check your PM

I haven't seen any deals on UPSes lately - I need one for my computer. Please let me know if anyone runs across a good deal! Thanks.

SBC's sticking it to me by nickel and diming the hell out of my account. I signed up for basic service at 11.05 but after fees and taxes, it's up to $21.49 plus tax!! I have no frills on the line, nothing....anyone in Houston, Tx know of a better phone company (cheaper)? Help me out with a PM if you can, please!

Need a good deal on a Canon printer with a parallel interface. Seems like Canon is dropping their parallel connectors on all mass-market models (i320, i350, i450) and I can't hook up a USB printer to my router! I'd like to go with Canon because of the generic ink options.

Panasonic KX-TG5110M 5.8GHz Cordless Phones with Extra Handset & Answering Machine

i'm looking for X-Trac eels (tape for mouse feet: info)

all of the online sellers i've seen charge like 7 bucks for shipping on the 3 dollar tape. has anyone seen any places that sell this tape with free shipping? or any B&M stores that stock it?

looking for it to use with a ratpad (which I intend to purchase from newegg soon -- and strangely they still charge for the tape even with the pad in the cart with free shipping. i guess they can't just package it together) since i've read ratpadz tend to wear out mouse feet...

edit: finally settled on some teflon tape instead... after looking through many sites selling the eels for no less than 7 dollars. in case anyone cares: linky. 2 bucks. weeee!

I'm looking for the best price on the Game Boy Player at a B&M location. PM me or email me at hav0k99(at)hotmail.com

Does anyone have any good deals on IDE rounded cables? Prefferably good length and quality and cheap or free shipping. Even better if a B&M has them. Thanks!

Confuse: I too am looking for cheap rounded cables.
Ebay isn't that great looking at the moment.
www.svc.com has some but shipping kills it.

So there, anybody out there have good deals on round IDE cables, preferably 18"?

Yeah, check out the thread I started.

svc.com rounded cables

They have some pretty decent prices, I think they're the same cables as the comp geeks one, but in my case I went with these guys cause they had some other stuff I needed. Came out to be about $7.30 for 1 24" floppy cable, 1 24" 2 connector ide and 18" 2 connector ide cable. Not too shabby! Shipping is about $5 priority. Hope that helps!

Whoops, sorry. I didn't see that you already tried svc. The geeks have these cables too but shipping is about the same, so it might not be a great deal for you. Might wanna search pricewatch for "round cable" or "rounded cable" saw some vendors selling them for $1-3 and some had free shipping.
