I just won an Xbox. It's coming tomorrow. The only game that looked interesting so far was Halo, and I've heard that its getting some bad reviews. I don't have a TV, just a computer. Should I sell the Xbox and upgrade my computer with it, or should I keep the damn thing? I checked on ebay and it is nowhere near what the PS2s were going for last xmas. I could always take it to Best Buy for store credit and get a bigger monitor or a new video card instead. What do you guys think I should do?

Since it was free... why not open the thing up and try to O/C it... and mod it... and rice it out!!! You aren't losing much... other than the few $$ you could sell it for. but... that is just the opportunity cost of the system.. since you got it free, you really aren't losing anything.

Or... just go buy Halo or whatever games are cool... and get sucked into a time warp of gamedom for 12 hours. ;)

It's been done. Everything inside is pretty much solid state and/or proprietary. :(

If u really into gaming, keep it ! Make sure ur wallet are loaded if u keep it since a game simply cost u $50. Then, u need accessories!!Like my PS2, it ripped me over 1k coz I got 20 games+controller+memory+ a shark that ruin game+etc.

If u wanna sell it, make me offer!I can trade with u.......any video cards u need (Nvidiots only)

I would keep it. But if you dont have any interest in it, then sell it.

Modding it would be cool, but like i said, I don't have a TV. Maybe its just me, but running an XBox through a TV-tuner so I can play it on my monitor sounds likes it defeating the purpose of a dedicated game console. Besides, it's just not right.:disgust:

Also, I work at Best Buy, so I'm pretty sure that I could get them to give me full retail value for it. $300 could get me a nice 19 inch monitor or a set of Klipsch speakers. I mainly play RTS and FPS games anyway.

Find which local superstore (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy) is running low on X-Box supply, wait a week or so, and find the parents who are desparate to get an X-Box for their son or daughter for Christmas, and sell it at a premium, say $500 :D

Oh my God! You won't believe this! I got another email from MS today. Here is what it said:

On Friday November 30th an email message may have been sent to you, a member of the Xbox Retail Team, by mistake containing details on receiving a prize. This message was intended only for the Xbox Exposed retail training winners and should be disregarded by anyone who did not attend Xbox Exposed and who was not the Grand Prize winner of the Fuzion Frenzy competition. We apologize for the confusion this may have caused.

first sell the BOX on ebay... prolly get 300 for that alone...

then sell the system and get another 300 bucks... if someone is stupid enough to bid, play them like a deck of cards

Keep it; the software looks promising.

I bought and sold a PS2 last year, but only because I made a bundle off it. If it was going for retail, I would have kept it.
