Heh - I was in the Caribbean recently and on one of the islands (DR I think), almost everyone used small motorcycles or scooters to travel around. I saw two guys on one, a driver and a guy carrying 2x4's and rebar. It looked...unsafe.

up until i had kids my only transportation was my motorcycle. grocery shopping wasnt a chore, i could hang 4 bags off the helmet hooks and a couple in my lap if needed. the hardest one was getting my new rear tire home. it offset the weight so much i had to lean left the whole trip. i also carried my 55gal aquarium home on that sucker, on my lap with the ex holding it steady from the back.luckily im tall enough to be able to reach around it and still maintain control.
