My 8 year old was trying to design an automatic flushing toilet sensor with his lego mindstorms. He did pretty well, although it never really quite worked.

He will work at it more tomorrow (had to go to bed) 😉

Might be, but I watched the video and the toilet didn't flush, so at this point he's just put some Legos together. Until I see a video of it actually working, I'm without a doubt smarter than him...

You should have said wait till the last min, as it almost works at the end! Good luck with that!

Oh and are you SURE it's the most time you have spent in the washroom? 😉

Any kid who can come up with an idea like that will more than likely be able to figure out how to make it actually work. I suspect in a day or two I'll be eating my words.

Trust me, it'll be before he goes to school tomorrow lol! He was so mad he had to go to bed and couldn't finish it tonight. 🙂

His biggest issue were the rods not be able to push the handle down far enough and hold it there to flush fully.
 
I expected this thread to be about a week old 'prime' steak that was not so carefully aged in your icebox........................
 
Great way to encourage your kid into developing critical thinking skills.

Legos are awesome.
