I've never owned a pda before so please bear with me...

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting an Ipaq 4355 soon..

I need a case... I want to be able to put a couple of cards and a license in it. I'll likely then not carry my wallet everywhere as well. What are the pros and cons of metal versus leather?

Also, I'll need a sd card. I hear Lexar is a good brand. Where are good places to get cases, memory, and whatever else?

I know it's been asked a million times, but feel free to list some cool ppc apps that you use.

Thanks, Justin

Memory brand doesn't matter imho. I use whatever I can find cheap. Goto Newegg or check Fry's (if its local). A lot of people seem to like Rhinoskin cases (i think that's the brand). Other then that I can't help much since my PDA is circa 2000.

Memory cards are all pretty much the same. I have a sandisk card that is 3 years old and a generic card that is about the same. They have both been writtento constantly and I have never had a problem with either one.

Memory cards, especially SD and CF, are NOT all the same.

There are several threads regarding the speed of SD cards on many of the handheld forums. Panasonic is generally accepted as by far the fastest, especially their new 10MB+ speed cards. Toshiba comes next, with the middle of the pack being most other brands including Torica, Hagiwara, and a few others. At the bottom of the pack is Sandisk. Their SD cards are less than 1/3 of the speed of the Panasonic cards in all areas: read, write, formatting and accessing; they are generally seen as rubbish.

Most Lexar cards are OEM Panasonic or Toshiba.

Buy Panasonic where possible.

Ok, where are good places to look for Panasonic cards? I'll go check Newegg and Mwave, but I don't remember seeing alot of pda accessories over there.
