I've been there a couple of times. Nothing special.

The food is so-so, as are some of the waitresses.

Some Hooters places are insanely cool and others are meh. It helps when the wings are good(some stores have issues with this) and it also helps when the chicks are super friendly(hotness helps).

All I can say is try different Hooters restaraunts... I have experienced a huge variance in every store. Panama City Beach, FL Hooters is perhaps the best Hooters in the country. :D I am roughly 1,000 miles from there right now. :(

WTF is the big deal with wings, anyway?

They're like the SPAM of the chicken. The last thing you want to eat.

:p

My husband has never been. He could go if he wanted to--- I wouldn't care.

He says it's tacky (he's right) and he isn't going to see anyone hotter than me(glad he sees it that way), so he doesn't see the point. :D

I never understood the big enigma surrounding Hooters...they aren't showing anything. You see more skin on your average broadcast TV sitcom.

The wings are very good. The sauce is tangy and doesn't rely on spiciness, but what makes them is the breading which is richer than other wings - that is the rare wings that you get breaded in other restaurants. It's closer in consistency to the breading on KFC chicken and it just soaks up the sauce so you get a lot of flavor in the wings.

I also go there for crab legs, as they are much cheaper than the Red Lobster right next door and are of comparable quality.

The waitresses are just waitresses wearing costumes like any other theme restaurant. Some are hot, some are not. It's not like they make you do a "motorboat" before you order. Aside from having to explain away the innuendo connected to the word "Hooters" there's nothing there that one should be concerned about their child seeing at Hooters, let alone their male significant other. My wife loves to go to Hooters.

i've only been twice and the first time was in spring of this year.

many gentlemen are correct on the "hit or miss" comments - with both the food and the service. in my opinion though, the shorts are much hotter than the shirts.

the wings are okay, but i wouldn't rate them as top-notch. the taste is on the higher end of the scale but i find them just a tad greasy.

i don't think it's strange at all that you've never been.

I went there once. The food was fine and not severely overpriced and the girls were attractive. Still, it wasn't anything special, just a novelty.

Listen, to each his own, but I'm telling you they're the best wings I've ever had. I used to get their wings every other Monday night for MNF... this is take home. So if you are in the group of people that I'm somehow coaxed into choosing food based on boobies, you're wrong. I don't know why so many don't like the food, but I absolutely love it. The 3 Mile Island are the best tasting wings (and I don't like hot food, so that's saying something). The Hot are good, and the Medium are nice. DO NOT ever get their mild wings, as they're just using the Medium sauce, but about 1/2 as much.

IMO, Buffalo Wild Wings' wings blow, but I think it all comes down to what kind of wings would you get from KFC? Do you go for normal wings or extra crispy? I'm an extra-crispy-or-nothing kind of guy.

HAH HAH! Whether or not your husband actually sees someone hotter than you doesn't mean he's not lying.

Yeah, I have to admit, they can be a tad greasy, but this is why I don't eat there often. I'd like to see 30.

I think Buffalo Wild Wings has better sauces....Honey BBQ, Teriyaki, and Caribbean Jerk are excellent.

Less...fatty....than Hooters too. Hooters is okay for burger and fries and maybe to watch a ball game at, but I can get better food for less elsewhere.

:D don't worry, i'm living proof that you can make it to 30 regardless of what diet you have.

for me, grease isn't always a bad thing. i had their chicken sandwich once though, and it was too greasy even for me. they brought it out on a peice of lettuce and there were pools of grease on the lettuce.

Hooters is so over-rated... Nice things to look at, but it's like $7 for a burger, $3 for fries, Don't evne know about wings and such. I haven't been there in years. I far prefer BW3s for chicken.

I was in the Hooters in Richmond Virginia. Food was pretty good, girls weren't bad. It Just depends on where you're at. I have 2 Friendly's restaurants nearby, one is a lot better than the other. Just Depends.
