People love alliteration.

My housemate's family was Diane (mom), Dick (dad), David and Donna. (kids)

I think they overdid it, personally, but that was just two kids - I've seen families with six or seven kids whose names start with the same letter.

And that's still not as bad as the people that name their kids in alphabetical order.

That made me laugh because my wife's parents are named Dave and Donna. Her best friend's husband is also David and her ex was also named David. Makes me think of that Dr. Seuss story of the 23 sons all named Dave.

And her boss's 3 kids all have names starting with the letter T.

Not as extreme as the Duggar family with 19 kids all with names starting with the letter J.

I have. The John Smith that was the place kicker for the NE Patriots. I played soccer in my youth at his indoor soccer facility and went to his camps.

I know one. And his wife is Mary Smith. And yes, they are about the most mainstream white bread, meat and potatoes type people you could imagine. Seriously, they could be among the most stereotypical Americans ever.
